SOUTH EAST ENGLAND BREAKS FAQs

What are the best places to stay in South East England?

The best place to stay depends on the break you want. Surrey and the Windsor area are ideal for royal history, gardens and countryside. The Hampshire and West Sussex coast is perfect for seaside walks and harbour villages, and Kent and East Sussex offer classic resorts such as Whitstable and Brighton.

The Runnymede on Thames is a convenient base for Windsor and Surrey, while Sinah Warren and Lakeside put you on the coast at Hayling Island.

What are some of the most beautiful places in South East England?

Some of South East England’s most beautiful places include the Surrey Hills, the white cliffs of the Seven Sisters, the South Downs and the New Forest. Windsor Great Park and Chichester Harbour are also known for their peaceful scenery.

What are some nice seaside towns in South East England?

Brighton, Whitstable, Broadstairs and Hastings are some of the South East’s best-loved seaside towns. Along the Hampshire and West Sussex coast, Southsea, Emsworth and Hayling Island offer quieter beaches and harbour views.

Sinah Warren is a short walk from the beach and Lakeside sits beside Chichester Harbour, so both make relaxing bases for exploring the Hayling Island coast.

What’s included in a break at Warner’s South East England hotels?

Every break includes breakfast, a three-course dinner and nightly live entertainment, plus use of the leisure facilities and a programme of daily activities. At The Runnymede on Thames, that also means unlimited use of the spa. Sinah Warren and Lakeside both have indoor pools, with an outdoor pool at Sinah Warren in summer. Free parking is available at all three hotels.

Some activities, such as archery and gin tasting, cost extra, as do spa treatments and lunch.

What’s the difference between Sinah Warren and Lakeside?

Both are on Hayling Island, about 10 minutes apart, but each offers a different kind of stay. Sinah Warren is a traditional coastal hotel on the island’s western side. It looks out over Langstone Harbour, has rooms and garden chalets (many with a balcony or patio), and is a short walk from the beach. Its indoor and outdoor pools and tennis courts make it ideal for a relaxed, easy-going break.

Lakeside is a coastal village on the eastern side of the island, set in 32 acres around its own lake beside Chichester Harbour. You stay in chalet-style rooms, lodges or suites. There’s a sociable central courtyard, and dinner and the evening’s show happen at the same table, so there’s no rush for seats.

Choose Sinah Warren for a classic hotel stay by the beach, or Lakeside for a lively village atmosphere with harbour walks on your doorstep.
