                WHERE STORIES MEET THE PLATE
The Blue Room is a place where food is more than a dish — it’s a story worth savouring. At Thoresby Hall, the Pierrepont family enjoyed lives as bold as The Blue Room’s gilded ceilings, whether they were hosting lavish banquets or creating the legend of an earl who kept a pet bear roaming the estate. It was home to indulgence, eccentricity, and good taste — and today we channel that same spirit into every plate we serve. Book an Afternoon Tea and embrace an indulgent ritual steeped in tradition.

                PROVENANCE AT THE HEART
Menus at The Blue Room are curated to showcase the very best of British ingredients, each with its own tale to tell. Discover tender British Bresaola and indulgent Cricket St Thomas Camembert. Our 30-day dry-aged T-bone embodies British craftsmanship and patience, while delicately-flavoured Scottish loch-reared trout brings the clarity of northern waters straight to your table. Comforting venison pie celebrates game from British estates, while our cheeseboard rounds the evening with heritage dairy.

                EVERY SIP TELLS A STORY
Every drink is crafted to celebrate flavour, heritage and a touch of theatre. From gins infused with botanicals, to sparkling wines and champagnes chosen for their elegance, The Blue Room collection is designed to delight and surprise. Signature serves, like the Thoresby Royale with its floral elderflower and fresh mint, pay homage to the estate itself. The Pierrepont Punch nods to the family who once lived here, while the Poacher’s Negroni brings a decadent cherry twist to a timeless classic.
