Studley Castle
Step into a reinvented castle that blends Victorian splendour with a modern heartbeat, close to Shakespeare’s birthplace in the heart of rural Warwickshire.

A 19th century castle hotel with a 21st century outlook
Discover a unique destination with its roots in its Victorian past, but its eye very much on the here and now. Restore your glow in the award-winning spa, unwind in serene lounges or explore Kenilworth Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswolds. Studley Castle’s story began in 1834 when Francis Lyttleton Holyoake, High Sheriff of Warwickshire, enlisted architect Samuel Beazley to design it and lavish it with Gothic Revival architecture. It was a grand family home for 70 years, then a women’s agricultural college and training camp for the Women’s Land Army during the two World Wars. In 2006, the building was converted to a country hotel, which we acquired in 2016, before unveiling its ambitious transformation.

what our guests say

This weekend trip was to celebrate my partner's 70th birthday - and one we won't forget! Check-in was easy and there were plenty of porters if you needed them; signposting around the site was excellent; our room was light, clean and airy and we had a great view over the fields from our balcony. What was so amazing was the lack of noise...”
14th March 2025
First visit to a Warner Hotel but definitely won’t be the last, we only booked for two nights as we weren’t sure it was for us but will certainly stay longer next time. Everything was great, the building, grounds, room, staff, facilities, entertainment, food - even the weather for our stay.”
29th January 2025
This was our third visit to Studley Castle and was as great as the other 2 times. We once again had a balcony room even tho the weather wasn’t great and not really able to sit outside and enjoy. But the view was fab. I think the room seemed slightly smaller this time around but still a reasonable size...”
