THINGS TO DO:
Celebrating 1 year of The Runnymede on Thames
2nd October 2025

We're preparing for a very special celebration on 7th October - The Runnymede on Thames’ first birthday as a Reserve by Warner Hotel. It’s been a year since it reopened its doors as a handpicked Warner Hotels destination after a multi-million refurbishment that included new riverside balcony rooms, a purpose-built live entertainment venue, two new restaurants and an impressive schedule of experiences and star names performing on stage.

But what does a year look like in stats?
Our 238 employees have welcomed 13,010 unique guests through the doors of The Runnymede on Thames. We’ve hosted 3,326 archery and 3,293 rifle shooting sessions! 4,288 guests have relaxed with a spa treatment, and 229 new members have joined the Leisure Club. Not to forget 14,370 cocktails served, over 43,000 pints poured, and 3,590 Runnymede club sandwiches devoured! What a year of creating amazing moments for our guests through fantastic facilities, food and entertainment!

We welcomed our first ever Joy Officer
Back in March, we appointed our first ever Chief Joy Office – the one and only Lisa Snowdon! The TV and Radio presenter was given the title of CJO for the launch of Reserve, by Warner Hotels, appearing at The Runnymede on Thames to show how it’s more than just a place to stay. As part of her role, Lisa surprised guests checking in, enjoyed a delicious dinner, relaxed in the spa and even took part in a cocktail making masterclass.

A year of headline entertainment
The Runnymede on Thames has hosted big star names and epic performers throughout its first year. Starting with a sold out 80s weekend with Sara Cox, plus performances from DJ legend Craig Charles and funk and soul performer YolanDa Brown. There were festival weekends that truly wowed during the 2025 summer season. We saw the first ever Pop Festival Weekend with headliners Peter Andre and Claire Richards lighting up the stage with nostalgic hits and pop classics. We then headed back to the 80s again in August at our 80s Rewind weekend featuring big names of the era including Go West and Pat Sharpe – what a jam-packed selection of breaks!

So much more to come
And there’s still plenty of opportunity to see big names and incredible performances on a break at The Runnymede on Thames this autumn. Will Young is revisiting his pop roots, performing fan favourites up close and personal including Light my Fire and Evergreen. Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra bring their electric mix of boogie woogie, blues and soul to our stage, just meters from your seat! And former Wet Wet Wet frontman and legendary performer Marti Pellow is bringing his signature charm and unmistakable voice to our intimate entertainment venue for an unforgettable night featuring a selection of his favourite songs.
