Days are short - it gets dark earlier, so outdoor activities are best earlier in the day. Layers, warm outerwear, waterproofs, sturdy shoes are all essential.

Yes - Warner Hotels does a lot of festive programming in December. Here are some of the events and features you can expect:

Festive Party Breaks (19-22 December) - one or two-night stays with live music, themed entertainment, party atmosphere. 

Christmas Breaks (23-27 December) - full festive experience: Christmas dinners, carols, visits from Santa, pantomimes, special shows. 

Twixmas Breaks (27-30 December) - post-Christmas time to unwind before New Year, still with festive touches, entertainment, and leisurely pace. 

New Year Breaks (30 December-2 January) - countdown celebrations, dinners, music, possibly fireworks, special evening programming. 

Festive Retreats and Signature Festive Retreats - elevated festive breaks with special menus, refined entertainment, indulgent features.

Decembe remains cooler and days are generaly shorter, so packing with warmth and comfort in mind is key. Here’s a handy list:
