SPA & WELLNESS:

Boost your summer self-care routine

12th May 2025

Summer is almost here — with longer days, better weather (hopefully!) and an optimism for what’s to come. While many of us set goals and intentions in January, it’s common for those good habits to fade as the year progresses. But summer offers a chance to slow down, reflect, and re-centre — and it might just be the best season to reinvigorate your wellbeing.

Here are a few easy ways to bring more balance, energy, and joy into your summer self-care routine.
Keep an eye out for this Information icon to learn ways that Warner Hotels can help you to embrace a season of summer wellness, with self-care at the forefront.

Connect with the outdoors

Being outside does wonders for our mental health and what better excuse than when the sun is shining! Whatever gets you outside, whether it be a walk in the countryside or a picnic at the park, embrace the chance to connect with nature.

If you’re heading on a break this summer, destinations that offer access to beautiful gardens, open-air activities, or peaceful walking trails are ideal. Our garden tours will have you exploring the beautiful grounds and landscaped gardens full of flora and fauna and we’ve plenty of terraces and sunny spots for you to enjoy a tipple. If you’re feeling adventurous, there’s target sports, adventure golf, boat trips and more to fill your days.

Eat and drink with the season

What comes to mind when you think of summer food and drink? Fresh, juicy strawberries? Deliciously creamy ice cream? A crisp gin and tonic? Eating fresh dishes full of seasonal ingredients that are at peak ripeness and full of flavour will leave you nothing short of satisfied.

Our chefs take the greatest care in sourcing local, seasonal ingredients for our restaurants. The Market Kitchen deli bar has sensational salads and flavourful plates that make every meal memorable, and we source the best ingredients from local suppliers where possible. And throughout the spring and summer, we have themed cocktail specials for you to enjoy while taking in the views from one of our terraces or bars. Passionfruit colada anyone?

Take time out at the spa

Few things say “self-care” like a bit of pampering. A spa day – or even just a morning to unwind in a sauna or steam room – can help reset your energy and prepare you for a season of socialising, exploring, or simply taking life at a slower pace.

Access to spa and leisure facilities is included as part of every stay, and our variety of spa breaks put your relaxation at the top of the priority list, with spa treatments included too. We also offer selection of spa day experiences if a day of self-care is just what’s needed.

Seek advice from wellness experts

If you’re looking to go deeper with your self-care this summer, a wellness retreat, lead by experts in the art of wellness, might be just the thing. These breaks offer the chance to unplug from daily life and immerse yourself in practices like yoga, mindfulness, Pilates, or meditation — all within peaceful surroundings and in the company of like-minded people.

Our wellness weekends and retreats are perfect for those who already enjoy incorporating wellbeing practices into their daily routines, or for those wanting to try something new and learn the fundamentals. These breaks are designed for profound self-development and relaxation and have limited places to offer a transformative smaller group environment.

Connect with others

It’s no secret that us humans are social beings and thrive off human contact. The summer months can be the time to fill up your social calendar and make the most of the better weather, perhaps by inviting friends over for dinner or taking up a new hobby you've been meaning to try.

Short getaways are a great way to meet others too. Reconnect with old friends or make new ones on a short UK break at one of our 16 unique hotels which offer exciting entertainment, quality dining and experiences for everyone.

Make this summer your most relaxed yet

However you choose to care for yourself this season – with fresh food, fresh air, or simply some well-earned rest – remember that summer is for enjoying the little moments.
Looking for a space to embrace your summer of self-care? Warner Hotels is the perfect place to reset, relax and recharge – and we’re currently offering up to 30% off summer breaks until offer ends on 20th May 2025, making it even easier to start putting yourself first.
