A CHARMING COUNTRY HOUSE STEEPED IN HISTORY

Step into the elegance of a Victorian country house and soak up the historical grandeur and peaceful setting of Alvaston Hall. Its fascinating blend of architectural styles, and quirky lack of symmetry, date back to 1896, when Manchester industrialist Arthur Knowles commissioned the half-timber framing, eye-catching clock tower and gargoyles above the porch. Every day here revolves around you, whether you’re tucking into an afternoon tea, going for a countryside stroll or embracing the joy of evenings filled with three-course dining and captivating entertainment.

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

"The entertainment team were outstanding. Dan, Lilly, Katerina and Oliver were brilliant not only in the shows but also when doing the after dinner cabaret and late lounge. The Blackjacks are brilliant. I enjoyed most of the visiting acts and made bookings in the holiday shop to see them again."

Mark P | Alvaston Hall

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

"Fridays entertainment was excellent, for us it bought back lots of memories. For once we knew all the words to the songs The Escorts played. Very enjoyable . On Saturday the Fabulous Lance Ellington. Could have listened to him for longer. Then we come to the resident entertainers, well, what can I say , they just get better everytime we come to Alvaston. In fact they are Alvaston. It wouldn't be the same without them. Thoroughly enjoyable ."

Derith T | Alvaston Hall

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

"Having the restaurant being part of the entertainment venue was a significant benefit. Seating appears to provide good visibility of the stage from all areas. It was also pleasantly surprising to be able to secure the same table for the entire duration of our stay."

David B | Alvaston Hall

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

"The entertainment provided at Alvaston is the main reason we regularly come back. The shows provided by the Entertainment team are of a standard you would expect to see on the West End. Tank Sherman was excellent and his material was new and up to date."

Mark P | Alvaston Hall

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

"We enjoyed the archery, taking part in quizzes, and the entertainment. The food was good in the buffet but even better in the Cheshire Barn where is a little quieter. All the waiting staff and bar staff were very attentive, really good customer service skills."
